American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn., announced Ron Robinson has taken over as director of vendor relations.
An employee at ASB since 1994, Robinson has experience with distribution/fulfillment, warehouse management, program development, inside purchasing, and sales, print, sourcing, office supplies and packaging solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from St. Cloud State University.
Now Robinson will be responsible for building and managing relationships with vendors who supply products and solutions to the sales force. He will collaborate with the Vendor Relations Department to promote and manage the American Partners for Progress program and will continue to enhance the value of that program for vendors and for ASB. Robinson will work as a liaison between sales associates and vendors, connecting client needs and vendor strategies to develop a high level of client satisfaction. In addition, he will oversee and direct the activities of the Home Office Product Support Team.
“Ron has filled various roles during his 20 years with American,” said Wayne Martin, ASB’s vice president of strategic operations support. “His experience and knowledge will serve him well as he transitions into this new position.”
Robinson earned ASB’s Eagle Award in 2004 for extending a helping hand to improve and energize morale and the Dave Corradino Memorial Award in 2005 for demonstrating the highest traditions and values of the company.
