In response to the evolution of craft brewing and a market demand for alternative packaging trends in the Midwest wine markets, Augusta Label and Printing, Burr Ridge, Ill., announced the installation of automatic shrink sleeve machinery.
Companies worldwide are growing sales through the use of 360-degree marketing using evolving shrink sleeve technology. With the craft beer market primarily progressing from bottles to more economical, recyclable and cooler-friendly cans, shrink sleeves produce a cleaner look than traditional pressure-sensitive labels. The applicator, combined with the three-axis steam tunnel system, will sleeve and shrink more than 50 12 oz. cans per minute.
The company stocks Rexam 12 and 16 oz. bullets and growlers. In addition, this applicator can sleeve 750 mL aluminum wine bottles with screw tops directed at local Midwest wineries. These bottles also are in stock and available for immediate delivery.
