Spring has sprung at Charles River Apparel! Charles River Apparel, an apparel manufacturer based in Sharon, Mass., continues its tradition of designing high-quality, retail-inspired apparel for the promotional products and sporting goods industries, adding five fresh spring styles to its product line. In conjunction with the spring line, the company is adding new 360-degree product videos to the company’s website.
With a focus on fashion-forward styles and hot, on-trend colors, Charles River has created vibrant new options for spring. Director of design, Tsedenia Kiros, explained her inspiration behind the new pieces. “The promotional product industry is absolutely trending toward retail in a bigger way then ever before. This season, bright colors are much deeper and richer and are being seen in all fabrications, silhouettes and styles, across all markets,” she said. “A pop of color draw’s a person’s attention, and minimal patterns and traditional colors are pleasing to eye; the combination of these bright and punchy colors along with the basics creates a collection that is fun, and should be good sellers for our distributors.”
Among the new styles added are the lightweight and breathable Men’s (style 3516) and Women’s (2516) Shadow Stripe Polos. These polos feature TopShield moisture management treatment and anti-microbial technology, and are made from a jacquard knit fabric with a unique texture that resembles stripes. The collection is offered in brilliant color options including lime, ocean blue, vivid pink, lavender, classic navy and black.
Great for the office or the golf course is our Men’s (9529) and Women’s (5529) Axis Soft Shell Vests. They are made from a breathable and water-resistant single-layer soft shell fabric that is flexible and exceptionally comfortable. They come in coordinating colors, as well as a striking turquoise/white for women and black/lime for men.
The Hooded Rugby Pullover (9574) is a new take on a classic style. Made of durable 100 percent cotton jersey with a 4″ yarn-dyed rugby stripe, it features a hood and is available in eight colors in sizes XXS up to 3XL. This hooded version is an expansion on the company’s extremely popular collared Rugby shirt.
With the coming of spring, Charles River has also introduced product videos to its website. Currently, the standard for displaying products online is with photos and zoom features. Video is the next media to showcase product quality, sizing and fit. With the addition of these videos to the Charles River website, distributors are now be able to view a garment from every angle and can see how the garment fits on a live person.
“Our Customer Service Department frequently fields questions on how a particular jacket or shirt is sized, or if the back of a garment has the same color-blocking or stitching detail as the front,” Vanessa Keefe, VP of Marketing, commented. “These videos will provide answers to many of the sizing, fit and design questions we receive, as well as allow customers to easily interact with our products and share them with their own clientele.
