The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Coleman, Wichita, Kan., is recalling its CTAC Lithium-Ion Flashlights due to a fire hazard.
The CPSC reported that the flashlights’ batteries can overheat and ignite. The recall involves three models of the Coleman CTAC Lithium-Ion Flashlights—CTAC20, CTAC40 and CTA60. The flashlights are black with “Coleman” printed in white along the handles and have the model number on the handles next to the light.
Coleman has received two reports of the flashlights overheating and catching fire, causing property damage, but it has not received any reports of injuries.
The CPSC advised consumers to immediately stop using the flashlight and contact Coleman for information on returning the flashlights for a full refund.
