Crystal D, the award supplier based in St. Paul, Minn., recognized a group of five employees on March 2 as first quarter WOW Champs at a company meeting celebrating National Employee Appreciation Day.
WOW Champs are nominated by their peers for exemplifying one of Crystal D’s five core values: Integrity, Quality, Respect, Commitment, and Passion.
The first quarter champions for 2012 are:
- Kong Thao – Quality
- Toua Yang – Commitment
- Bukhari Arab – Respect
- Kim Kiefat – Integrity
- John Stefani – Passion
Each WOW Champ received a certificate, a gift card to Starbucks, and a decorated cupcake. The WOW Champs are now in the running to be one of Crystal D’s 2012 Value Champions at the annual WOW Day meeting.
The WOW Champs were honored during a company-wide celebration of National Employee Appreciation Day. The company thanked each employee with the breakfast of champions – donuts and juice in honor of this national celebration.
“We practice what we preach here at Crystal D,” said Mike Irvine, vice president of operations. “We love recognition, we use it, we celebrate it, and we learn from it. Today was a great day to combine two wonderful occasions: WOW Champs and National Employee Appreciation Day!”
