Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), Irving, Texas, invited exhibitors to donate unwanted products from company booths when the PPAI EXPO in Las Vegas closes on Jan. 15. Volunteers and staff from the Kids In Need Foundation, Las Vegas, working with the local Public Education Foundation, will collect leftover products and samples. Items collected will benefit the low-income and impoverished schools in Las Vegas’ Clark County School District.
Nearly every kind of product is acceptable for donation, including pens, markers, t-shirts, plush toys, awards and recognition items, drinkware, magnets, buttons, ribbons, stickers, bags, clocks and watches, desk and office products, electronics, calendars, games, toys and business accessories.
PPAI has supported the efforts of the Kids In Need Foundation since 2007 through promotional assistance, product and monetary donations. Product harvesting began at last year’s PPAI Expo with products donated from 33 companies at a value of more than $18,000. Given the number of exhibitors at The PPAI Expo, it should be easy for this year’s exhibitors to break that record. Instructions will be available at The PPAI Expo.
