Port Washington, New York-based Dri Mark Products announced the availability of environmentally friendly writing instruments.
“What’s good for the environment most often translates as being even better for the workplace,” said Teri Reidt, vice president, sales. “The importance of implementing environmentally friendly practices and using ‘green’ components, such as pens and markers, is becoming a key business strategy that we naturally filled with biodegradable writing components.”
Dri Mark Products provides two groupings in their BioRight line-a made-in-the-USA collection produced in the Port Washington, New York facility, and a grouping of imported writing instruments from China that are manufactured from a corn derivative bio-plastic which are 75 percent biodegradable.
“Our best selling Bio products are our ARIES pens, both regular and mini-sized, and the ever-versatile Trimark 3-sided highlighter, with vibrant shades of pink, blue and yellow,” stated Charles Reichmann, owner and CEO of Dri Mark Products. “Our USA products are molded using an additive that breaks down the plastic, which results in an earth-friendly, responsible manufacturing process. These products will biodegrade in as few as 500 days when placed in a landfill site.”
In addition to BioRight, Dri Mark Products also carries Zebra ECO products which are manufactured from over 70 percent post-consumer waste.
Dri Mark Products has further partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation “to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.” As a special incentive, for every $750 of BioRight products purchased, Dri Mark Products and the Arbor Day Foundation will preserve 2,500 square feet of rain forest in a client’s name.
