Key Takeaways

Ennis Inc. (asi/53493), the largest print supplier in Print & Promo Marketing’s 2025 list, has acquired CFC Print & Mail, which ranked No. 15 and specializes in transactional, automotive and education print products.

This move continues Ennis’ acquisition-driven growth strategy, following recent purchases like Northeast Envelope and Printing Technologies Inc., reinforcing its national scale and market presence.

CFC recently diversified into tailored kits for sectors like retail, education, healthcare and hospitality, adding products such as brochures, point-of-purchase displays, and banners, enhancing Ennis’ offerings.

Ennis Inc. (asi/52493), the largest supplier as ranked on Print & Promo Marketing’s 2025 Top Print Suppliers list, has added another top-ranked printer to its family of companies by acquiring CFC Print & Mail.

CFC Print & Mail, which posted $8.6 million in 2024 print revenue, ranked No. 15 on the PPM Top Print Suppliers list. The Grand Prairie, TX, print supplier specializes in transactional print products; automotive industry print such as buyer orders, trade appraisals, order forms, and disclosures of equity; education vertical print products like workbooks, testing and evaluation forms, report cards and transcripts.

The company recently also expanded into tailored kits for verticals like retail, education, healthcare and hospitality, bringing together products like brochures, point-of-purchase displays, signs, banners and more.

“CFC Print & Mail has built a strong reputation for innovation, service and efficiency,” said Keith Walters, chairman, president and CEO of Ennis. “We are excited to welcome CFC’s employees, customers and distributor partners into the Ennis family. The alignment of our strategic priorities, including quality, responsiveness and national scale makes this an excellent fit.”

Ennis, founded in 1909, posted 2024 print revenue of $420 million. Despite that figure being a slight dip from 2023’s $432 million, the Midlothian, TX, printer is clearly not slowing down, as evidenced by this big-name acquisition.

Acquisition has played a major role in Ennis’ growth strategy in recent years.

In April, the company acquired Northeast Envelope, strengthening its presence in the Northeast. That was the company’s first acquisition in almost a year, with the next-most recent being its June 2024 acquisition of Printing Technologies Inc., and before that acquiring Pennsylvania print firms Eagle Graphics and Diamond Metrics. During a stretch of late 2022 to summer of 2023, Ennis acquired UMC Print, Stylecraft Printing Co., School Photo Marketing and certain assets of Gulf Business Forms.

CFC Print & Mail will continue to operate under its name and from its Grand Prairie location.
