Shelley Sake, MAS, has been promoted to the position of vice president of marketing for Evans Manufacturing. She has worked at Evans for over seven years, most recently as its director of sales and marketing. Shelley started in the industry with Pillowline (Advertising Unlimited/Norwood) in 1991 and has held such positions as account executive, sales service manager and marketing manager.
Derek Sweem, president of Evans, stated, “Shelley has done an extraordinary job of helping Evans grow the business through the development of new products and by implementing successful sales and marketing strategies. Her focus on the customer, insights to current market trends, and ability to innovate and motivate have been tremendous assets for years.”
“Shelley has tremendous vision for Evans’ future,” added Alan Vaught, Evans Manufacturing’s owner. “I am proud that she will continue to be an integral part in the continued success and growth of Evans.”
Sweem emphasized, “I am very excited about this new position for Shelley—no one in our organization has made a bigger impact on our top-line growth and her numerous accomplishments speak volumes.”
Sake is in the process of hiring a new national sales director who will work directly with the Evans factory-direct sales force while allowing her to focus more time on marketing and new product development.
Evans Manufacturing is a 2008 Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Supplier Star Award winner and will be launching 53 new products in January of 2009.
