Mohawk Announces New Hires and Management Promotions

Mohawk, North America’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of fine papers, envelopes and specialty substrates for commercial and digital printing, is pleased to announce three management promotions and two new hires.

Melissa Stevens has been promoted to vice president of sales. Previously serving as director of sales, strategic accounts and sales process improvement, Stevens will continue to manage and develop Mohawk’s sales force, driving new initiatives and developing new market opportunities. Stevens holds a BS in Business & Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is currently pursuing her MBA. She joined Mohawk in 2004 as Specification Sales Representative in the New England Region.

Michelle A. Carpenter has been promoted to vice president, environmental and energy stewardship. Previously director corporate environmental and energy stewardship, Carpenter will continue to oversee Mohawk’s energy management program and environmental initiatives. Carpenter holds a BS in Accounting and a BA in Biology – Environmental Science. She has also earned a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Urban Policy and Environmental Planning from the University at Albany, State University of New York. She joined Mohawk in 1991 as Environmental Project Coordinator.

Beth Reardon has been promoted to regional sales manager, Midwest. Previously, she worked as district sales manager of national accounts and has over 20 years of experience in the paper industry. She is a graduate of Miami University and John Carrol University.

As Mohawk grows its presence in the digital print marketplace, the company is building digital capabilities and enhancing its sales organization. To support these efforts, the company has announced the hire of Pamela Reedstrom and Katherine Hoffman as digital specialists.

In these new positions, Reedstrom and Hoffman will join an experienced, highly-qualified team of Mohawk digital specialists located throughout North America to oversee market development and grow sales of Mohawk’s digital papers and specialty substrate lines. Reedstrom and Hoffman will report to Thomas D. O’Connor III, Digital Sales Manager, Mohawk.

Pamela Reedstrom will service the Southern California territory for Mohawk. A graduate of Minnesota State University at Mankato, Reedstrom has 16 years digital experience with the Xerox Corporation, most recently as supply and acquisitions Manager. Reedstrom is based in California.

As Mohawk’s Mid Atlantic digital specialist, Katherine Hoffman will service Mohawk customers in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. A graduate of Philadelphia University, Hoffman has 24 years of experience in the print industry, and comes to Mohawk from the Xerox Corporation, where she spent the last five years as application solutions executive. She is based in Pennsylvania.
