Mohawk, locates in Cohoes, N.Y., has named George William Wurtz III to its board of directors. Wurtz is currently CEO and president of WinCup Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of a broad line of disposable foodservice products.
With a 25-year history in the manufacturing of paper and packaging products, Wurtz has held executive positions with Georgia Pacific Corporation, Fort Jameson Corporation and James River Corporation before joining WinCup. Wurtz retired as an officer of Georgia-Pacific Corporation in 2006 after serving in several executive management positions including president of paper, bleached board and kraft operations. Prior to that, Wurtz worked for Fort James Corporation and James River Corporation, holding executive management positions in operations, logistics, procurement and manufacturing planning. Wurtz is a graduate of the State University of New York, Oswego.
