Notes Inc. Lands Forest Stewardship Council Certification

Syracuse, New York-based Notes Inc. announced it recently became the first sticky notepad manufacturer in the U.S. to receive chain of custody (CoC) certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), recognized throughout the world as the leading third-party-verified program for sustainable forestry practices.

FSC certification allows Notes Inc. to offer products made with paper carrying the FSC trademark, which assures customers that at every stage of its manufacture—from the management of the forest to the pulping of the wood and the making of the paper—it meets FSC’s strict environmental, social and economic standards.

“Getting FSC certification demonstrates our serious commitment to green initiatives as well as our role of category leader,” says Pete Langdon, division sales manager for Notes Inc. FSC is the international gold standard of environmental labeling, and certification involved a rigorous audit of the company’s manufacturing operation by an independent FSC-accredited body.

“We are now able not only to offer responsible environmental paper choices, but also to assure our clients that we’re an environmentally responsible member of the manufacturing chain of custody,” Langdon added, “We’re the only sticky notepad company in the country to receive this certification.”

Notes Inc. now offers customers the choice of using FSC-certified 100 percent recycled paper for its customized Stik-Withit and Note Cube brand notepads.
