Country music superstar Garth Brooks earned unnecessary flak from fans Feb. 22 when, in conjunction with a show at Detroit’s Ford Field, he posted an Instagram image of himself in a jersey honoring Lions legend Barry Sanders. Confusing the running back with presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, many devotees bashed Brooks, with more sensible supporters making them aware of the singer’s intended nod to the Hall of Fame player. Sure to enjoy micro-moment distinction and fully aware of the hype surrounding this year’s General Election, BreakingT issued a T-shirt that playfully notes that Sanders and Brooks would be a winning ticket if paired as running mates.

Kaeru-kun is a “cool frog” who graces the labels of a Japanese brewing company. We are here to confirm that he is, in fact, cool, and we would love to try some of the beers he advertises. One is called “Easy Hop.” That’s just poetic. (Get it? Cause he’s a frog.)

It’s hard to believe that the Tom Hanks film “Cast Away” turns 20 this year, but it’s not difficult to accept that someone would look to earn bobblehead glory through the “character” (if you will) Wilson. The Washington Capitals are using the volleyball as inspiration for a March 24 promotion honoring right winger Tom Wilson, who, finding great use for his last name, made his 2015 Halloween costume a tribute to the movie object.

After New York Post writer Maureen Callahan felt the need to call Rochester “grim and depressing” for some reason in an article about a Wegmans in Brooklyn, the city’s Minor League Baseball team is co-opting the insult by selling these T-shirts dedicated to “grim and depressing Rochester” for Maureen Callahan Night. This is a masterclass in “I am rubber, you are glue” marketing.
