Brockton, Massachusetts-based Pilgrim Plastics announced it purchased the assets of Chatham, New York-based Chatco, a manufacturer of molded plastic products including golf bag tags, custom tags, name badges and clip strips. The Chatco line of products fits well with current Pilgrim Plastics offerings which will now include heavier gauge plastic production capabilities. Mark Abrams, president of Pilgrim Plastics, indicated this is the first in a list of complementary product lines the company intends to pursue. Jason Abrams has been appointed president of the new Chatco-Pilgrim Inc.
Chatco’s full line will be exhibited at upcoming industry trade shows and be included in the company’s 2009 marketing strategy.
