Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) announced the 2012 PPAI Hall of Fame inductees, Bob Davis, CAS and Paul Lage, MAS and the recipient of the 2012 PPAI Distinguished Service Award, Margie Price, MAS, at the North American Leadership Conference in Denver, Colo.
The PPAI Hall of Fame is the highest distinction that the promotional products industry bestows on its professionals. Given since 1977, it recognizes industry professionals for outstanding contributions to the promotional products industry and to the community.
PPAI’s 75th Hall of Fame inductee Bob Davis, CAS, owns Denver, Colorado’s Specialty Incentives Inc. and has been an active member of the industry for 31 years. He is a past chairman of the PPAI Board (2001) and PPEF board member, 1998-2001 and 2005-2008, and has served on PPAI’s Strategic Planning Committee, Conventions Committee, Education Committee, Leadership Advisory Council and as the board liaison to the Regional Association Council. Over the years, Davis also played a role in a number of Association task forces, including the PPB Editorial Advisory Council, the Dues Equity Task Force, the Show Consolidation Task Force and the Hall of Fame Advisory Council. He became an Honorary Lifetime Member in 2002.
Fellow inductee and 76th Hall of Famer Paul Lage, MAS, is a 25-year veteran of the promotional products industry. His career began at Gill Studios, working in marketing and as an account executive. After leadership roles at BIC Graphic and later at Norwood, he returned to Gill Studios as president and CEO in 2010. He is a past chairman of PPAI Board (2003) and has been actively involved with the Promotional Products College Education Foundation (PPCEF) (now PPEF).
Lage served on PPAI’s Strategic Planning Committee, International Committee, Nominating Committee, Executive Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, Membership Services Committee, Chairman’s Committee of 100, Leadership Advisory Council and Events Action Committee. He became an Honorary Lifetime Member in 2004.
Distinguished Service Award honoree Margie Price, MAS, is president and owner of Premiums Plus in St. Louis, Mo. The PPAI Distinguished Service Award, first presented in 1997, is presented annually by PPAI to recognize members who generously give their time and energy for the benefit of the Association through volunteer service and leadership. She served on the PPAI board from 2002-2005 and as chair of PPEF in 2004. Price has served on numerous committees including the Strategic Planning Committee, the Global Strategic Council and the Women’s Leadership Conference Action Group. She is currently a member of PPAI’s Government Relations Advisory Council and the Leadership Advisory Council. Last month she was honored with the PPAI Woman of Achievement Award.
The recipients of the Hall of Fame, Distinguished Service and new H. Ted Olson Humanitarian Awards will be recognized at the Chairman’s Leadership Dinner during The PPAI Expo, Thursday, January 5, 2012.
