The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) issued an action alert on a bill before the U.S. Senate that, as written, would effectively prohibit the distribution of promotional products to health care professionals.
The Physicians Payments Sunshine Act (formerly known as S.301) has been absorbed into Section 6002 of the Draft Senate Leadership health care reform bill—the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”
PPAI urges promotional product professionals to visit its Web site to take action and let individual senators know how industry members feel about the proposed law. A sample letter, interactive map and automated send process are available at www.ppailaw.org.
