Promo Marketing Announces 2014 Supplier Excellence Awards Winners

Philadelphia-based Promo Marketing magazine, the source of product and marketing information for distributor sales professionals, has announced the winners of the 2014 Supplier Excellence Awards.

The list of 2014 Supplier Excellence Awards winners can be found here and in the July issue of Promo Marketing, which includes examples of the honorees’ top products in each of the 40 categories.

Promo Marketing staff, along with a panel of top-tier distributors from companies across the country, went through thousands of qualified suppliers to narrow down the best of the best in each category. This year’s awards features the 40 biggest product categories in the industry, with the apparel categories placed into their own STYLE Excellence Awards section. In addition to separating the categories, suppliers were limited to only their top categories—up to three in the Supplier Excellence Awards and three in the STYLE Excellence Awards.

“We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Supplier Excellence Awards and STYLE Excellence Awards,” said Kyle Richardson, editor-in-chief of Promo Marketing. “Each winner has been picked by distributors as the top supplier in their category. Company size, sales volume—those don’t matter. The suppliers here did something that can’t be expressed by numbers: each one worked harder and did more to convince their customers that they are the best. Congratulations to this year’s winners.”

The issue also contains the Top 50 Suppliers list, which ranks the highest-earning companies in the industry based on 2013 revenue. This year’s top suppliers saw a combined sales increase of more than $300 million over the prior year. In total, this year’s ranked suppliers (which included 51 companies due to a tie) comprised more than $5.4 billion of the industry’s 2013 sales volume.
