PromoCard Services, Miami Beach, Fla. announced the launch of a promotional campaign for brand marketers called MysteryPIN. The new promotion is based on the concept of a “mystery prize,” which is uncovered by customers when they log onto a branded Web site and enter the PIN code from a product’s package or on an individual promotional item. This strategy stimulates customers to join in a promotional treasure hunt, thus driving multiple sales and repeat business for brand marketers.
The goal of MysteryPIN is to provide end-users a way to drive multiple sales by linking one or more large prizes to personal identity numbers generated and included on or inside consumer packaging.
The program can be set up with random codes or with codes predetermined by the end-user. A sweepstakes element also can be added, where each time a customer logs on to enter a PIN code, he or she gets an entry to a sweepstakes for a grand prize.
“MysteryPIN is our most innovative promotion geared to driving multiple sales and repeat business,” said Paul Sorota, president of PromoCard Services. “Our research shows that consumers will make multiple purchases of any given product, in hopes of landing the ‘big’ prize. Moreover, with our numerous branding and survey capabilities, this promotion goes a long way in building both brand recognition and a robust consumer database.”
