Promotional Products Work! Week Commences Today

Eighty-eight percent of consumers recall advertisers on promotional products, and 85 percent of promotional-product recipients have done business with the advertiser from whom they received the product, according to the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) study, The Influence of Promotional Products on Consumer Behavior. Promotional products are the sixth fastest growing advertising medium, and the $19 billion industry ranks eighth among traditional and digital advertising expenditures in the U.S.

In its second year, Promotional Products Work! week aims to raise awareness about the power and effectiveness of promotional products and their use as a top advertising medium with events across the country this week.

“Advertisers and marketers love promotional products because they deliver the highest rate of reach, recall and return on investment in the advertising industry, as the most cost-effective way to impact a targeted audience in a tangible, long-lasting and memorable manner,” said Paul Bellantone, CAE, president and CEO of PPAI, which established the event. “Promotional Products Work! Week brings together industry stakeholders to inspire advertisers and marketers and promote business growth for the industry and the buyers alike.”

Promotional Products Work! Week helps to spread the word that promotional products are not only one of the oldest forms of branding and advertising, but are highly effective means of advertising. The rapidly growing industry also has a positive effect on the economy, jobs and communities as it consists of 33,800 businesses—97 percent of which are small businesses— and more than 500,000 professionals.

Events, organized by suppliers, distributors and regional associations, will take place around the country this week. Northwest Promotional Marketing Association, and iClick will hold a lunch and learn presentation on marketing, research, and best practices to build business and create stronger client relationships with Chris Piper, CAS, in Seattle, Wash.
