Rhone Apparel, New Canaan, Conn., announced its support of Men’s Health and Cancer Awareness Month, and specifically testicular cancer awareness, by partnering with the Testicular Cancer Foundation to donate 20 percent of purchases from its Valhalla Compression Short back to the foundation for the entire month of June.
“Rhone was built as a brand that speaks directly to men,” said Nate Checketts, co-founder of Rhone. “When we realized that there was an opportunity to help fight a cancer that directly affects men, we couldn’t help but get involved,” continued Checketts. “The Testicular Cancer Foundation is the nation’s leading non-profit organization in raising awareness and donating funds towards testicular cancer research. Our brands align well, as we both believe in inspiring people to fight bravely in the face of great odds and get better. That is our collective aim and we hope, in some small way, to contribute to the great work they are doing.”
The Valhalla Compression short was made to offer complete support through articulated flat-lock seams, a wide waistband, mesh panels in high heat zones and SilverTech threads that block odor.
While Rhone is known for having inspiring quotes on the interior seam of each of its garments, it felt this particular garment deserved an exterior quote as a daily reminder that, “May the brave live forever.”
“We are excited to be teaming up with Rhone Apparel for Men’s Health Awareness Month,” said Matt Ferstler, cancer survivor, and founder and CEO of the Testicular Cancer Foundation. “Just as Rhone is leading the charge in top-notch athletic wear, the Testicular Cancer Foundation is paving the way for more awareness and education of testicular cancer. It’s a perfect fit. Buy a pair, save a pair!”
