Safeguard, a top 50 distributor and member of Dallas-based Deluxe Corp., announced that Safeguard distributor Business Products Inc., owned by Brad McCrum of South Portland, Maine, acquired Formsource Inc. of Lewiston, Maine, on Sept. 25, 2013. Formsource, founded in 2002, has been a single source for design, printing and advertising specialty needs for local and national customers. The acquisition was completed as part of Safeguard’s Business Acquisitions and Mergers program, which focuses its efforts on providing opportunities for existing and new Safeguard distributors to grow their business through acquisition and merger transactions. Safeguard provided transactional consulting and funding assistance in connection with the transaction. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.
