Louisville, Kentucky-based Stitch Designers announce it will once again be providing the embroidery service for the Garland of Roses, which is presented each year to the winner of the Kentucky Derby. The presentation of the Garland of Roses began in 1896 with a pink and white rose arrangement and has continued since with the current red version since 1932.
While the company knows that providing embroidery services can be a more anonymous role, they are excited to be part of the “fastest two minutes in sports.” Stitch Designers has been responsible for producing the embroidery on the Garland of Roses for 24 years running. It feels being trusted with such a delicate task as the embroidery of the rose blanket is a huge honor.
