Team Promotions Creates Fun and “Cleveland Pride”

Cleveland-area distributor Team Promotions has been taking to the streets of Cleveland to celebrate homegrown innovation. In recognition of Clevelander Garrett Morgan who invented the traffic light in 1923, Team Promotions created “Tommy Traffic Light” who along with Missy Meter Maid have been seen all over the Cleveland area in recent weeks giving away free pairs of fireworks glasses. The marketing agency teamed up with local radio station WAVE to announce where people can find Tommy Traffic Light and receive their free pair of the promotional fireworks eyewear. The promotion has traveled all over the Cleveland area, including Cleveland Indians baseball games, Food Truck Fridays and other local hot spots. They will distribute more than 5,000 pairs of sunglasses for the Fourth of July and other fireworks-related events all summer long.

“We are proud of Cleveland’s history and like to remind and share with people the great things that Cleveland has brought to the world,” Hank Frisch, president of Team Promotions, said. Frisch has created other community-wide events that have raised money for charities and increased awareness of promotional products. He created the Business Run which included a briefcase relay, the Battle of the Giant Promotional Products and a Bicycle Race Challenge against basketball superstar, LeBron James.

The Tommy Traffic Light promotion has been a great success and provided great old-fashioned fun and pride in Cleveland, as well as increased visibility for Team Promotions and the power of promotional products. Follow on social media with hashtag #CLEteam.
