The Chest, Washington, Mo., recently won two awards presented by GPA’s Sixth Annual Printed Sample Contest. GPA offers specialty substrates and solutions for digital and offset printing and holds the contest to recognize outstanding work by its customers. Companies throughout the country submit samples of orders printed on GPA substrates and compete in six product best of categories.
The Chest won Best of Category in Ultra Digital Papers for a custom order of a chipboard box in the shape of a Mini Suitcase, item BXC-300. The Chest also won Best of Category in Ultra Digital Films for a custom order using sheets printed with Repositionable kiss cut graphics of the Gap clothing line for Canary Marketing.
The Chest is the first company within the five-years running of the Printing Samples Contest to be named a winner in two product categories. Over 110 submissions were judged on uniqueness of design, complexity of production, and the quality of printing.
The Chest was also announced as Counselor’s winner of the 2012 Distributor Choice Award for Boxes and Packaging.
“We’re lucky to work with distributors who want to collaborate on such creative projects,” said Mary Dobsch, President of The Chest. “Our entire team is completely committed to every order, which helped us end 2011 strongly. We’re thrilled that growth and hard work is continuing to be recognized in 2012.”
