4 Valentine’s Day Promotion Ideas

2012 has been a pretty loving year thus far. This may be due to the mild winter (I, for one, LOVE it), the increase in revenues (yay money!) or the the loving-est of days that comes next week (Valentine’s Day). Whether or not you enjoy the candy heart-filled holiday, your clients (and valentine) likely do so use the next week to work on some red and pink promotions. The beauty of Valentine’s Day is that it does not need to be celebrated on the day. It’s simply a reminder to appreciate those around you. Surprise your clients, their end-users and your valentine by providing them with some of the products below next week or any week. The thought and brand will be noticed.

Jewelry
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but so are tiaras, diamond-encrusted or plastic. Every girl is a princess to someone so let them feel like royalty with a logo’d tiara. Try the Barbie All Doll’d Up crown from Aztec Imports.

Candy
Candy says I <3 you in a "thank you for doing business with me" way. Thank your clients with the Candy Window Tin with Candy Hearts from Admints & Zagabor and encourage them to do the same with their consumers.

Spa Products
Lindsey Whitney, president of Solar Advertising, Castle Rock, Colo., offered advice for spa products. You can use these suggestions for your future wellness programs or for some V-day promotions. She discussed the new vegan Hellowmellow line of spa goods. “The most popular [product] we have seen is the body butter, because everyone uses lotion and this one has some great benefits from incredible moisturizer power to aromatherapy,” she said. To make this lotion promotion even more effective, try combining it with other personal care products. “I would recommend selecting a few items in the same blend (like the bath salts and the mood-shifting spray in the unwind blend) or a few blends in the same item (like the body butter in all four blends) to keep the gift or promotion focused,” Whitney said.

Stuffed Animals
The larger and more cuddly, the better. Bonus points if it says something cute in addition to having a logo, like this Heart Dog from Curto Toy Manufacturing.
