Home Promotional Home

Many of us here at Promo Marketing are moving this summer. Whether it is warm weather whims or the appeal of moving on a swampy August day, who knows? But a few PM employees are changing abodes.

On Monday, Mike wrote about the products he received from his new landlord. While I appreciate tote bags, sports bottles and magnets, my real concern lies in packing. Where are the promotional products that help me organize my clothing, my bedding, my electronics and, goodness gracious, my shoes? I found this guide on Corporette and I will definitely be using it.

That hyper-organization reminded me that businesses change locations as well and they need matching, branded boxes to go with them. With business and personal moves in mind, I searched PromoMarketing.com for packing-friendly products. Here’s what I found:

Labels–Shipping Labels from Gill Studios (Very helpful for sending things to a new locale, especially when crossing state lines)
Boxes–Donut Box from Skinner & Kennedy (Sweets need packing too)
Garment Bags–Garment Bag from Vitronic Promotional Group (New tenants have enough to worry about without adding ironing clothing to the list)
Tape–Die-Cast Metal Tape Dispenser from AdVantage Industries (Things fall apart. Fix them with tape.)

Another concern I have, and one that definitely relates to my promotionally fashionable interests, is what to wear on move-in day. College gave me four years and four moves to try out the best summer ensembles for lugging boxes, bags and bed frames through seemingly microscopic elevators and doorways. I’ve tried the cute and comfy jeans and a T-shirt classic, the faux gym ensemble, the “Oh, am I moving today, because I accidentally wore a dress and sandals so can someone else do the heavy lifting?” outfit, and finally the “I don’t own real sneakers so I’m wearing chucks and hoping for the best” look.

For my move-in day, I think I’m just going to have to channel my cross-country-running high school self and don mesh shorts, a T-shirt and sneakers. Honestly, no one looks cute when carrying a couch twice their size so I might as well be comfortable. Plus, every garment involved will have the added bonus of a logo.
