New Year, New Site, New Magazine

Earlier this month I said 2014 would be a big year for us, and now you know why: this week, we announced the redesign of home page and our magazine. Every member of our team spent months working on each project, and I wanted to give you a little more insight into how it all happened.

Conversations about updating our home page began six months ago, when we realized we had grown beyond what the old PromoMarketing.com could handle. When that site design, we had product search, a bi-weekly newsletter, and Mike’s blog. Fast forward five years, and our site now plays home to more than a dozen bloggers, daily news posts, product reviews, the Threads newsletter, webinars and more, on top of the site’s core functionality of offering the best product and supplier search results.
PromoMarketing.com’s landing page has been changed to reflect everything we offer: industry news and commentary, education, custom websites and catalogs, and of course, our exclusive product search. Our home page now gives easy access to everything we offer, while our new magazine page gives you a single destination for the promotional product industry’s only source of daily news. We wanted to make it easier for you to get everything you need from one source. I hope we’ve accomplished that.
The change to a new size for Promo Marketing magazine is something I was very excited to reveal. We’ve talked the change over for years but never pulled the trigger. With the relaunch of our new site and revamps to the look of the magazine, it was finally the right time. Plus, the new dimensions work better with Layar’s augmented reality technology, so it was an easy choice. (Added bonus: the magazine finally fits in my laptop bag without bending.) If you haven’t received your copy yet, you can see all the changes in our digital edition.
We’re extremely pleased with how both the home page and magazine came out, and we hope you are too. We’ll be making more changes as the year goes on to ensure we’re bringing you the best products in the industry. I’d love to get your feedback, so please leave a comment or send me an email with your thoughts.
One more thing: to those who asked after my last blog, I saw a 1000% increase at the slots this year.
