Question: I have some very old software called OrderMaster on my computer. Should I worry about crashes and losing my information?
Answer: OrderMaster is written in a very old computer language and is susceptible to crashes as supporting technology, such as Windows, advances.
I get calls frequently from OrderMaster users who have lost part or all their order history. You would be wise to have a plan B in place to avoid losing your data, which is priceless to your business. Considering options before a crash is much less stressful than waiting for a crisis situation that can bring your business to a halt.
In full disclosure, I acquired the rights to rewrite OrderMaster in a more modern language, but unfortunately it proved to be too expensive to do.
