I just wanted to post a quick update to my blog from Friday. Numerous sources are reporting this morning that the American hikers imprisoned in Iran, Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, have been released from prison on $500,000 bail each. Reporters for the Associated Press saw “a convoy of vehicles with Swiss and Omani diplomats leaving Evin prison Wednesday afternoon with Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal inside, heading to an airport in the capital Tehran.”
If all goes well, Shane and Josh will be back on American soil before the end of the month. Thanks to everyone who emailed me last week and offered their support for the two men.
