Answer: The most obvious benefit is that QuickBooks Online (QBO) is accessed online, from anywhere you can log in – on the road, from your office, home or wherever. And, so can your employees or accountant.
QBO Plus, the QBO I recommend for distributors, comes with five users included. This means that you don’t have to pay extra for more than one user as you do with QB Desktop.
Finally, QBO has an automatic sales tax calculation based on the “Ship to” address in the invoice. You don’t have to enter and keep current sales tax rates as you do with QB Desktop, and you can easily have sales tax automatically calculated for multiple states where you might also be collecting and remitting sales tax.
